In 2008, Faisal became a research fellow with Professor Pamela Silver at the Department of Systems Biology at Harvard Medical School, where he is applying the principles of DNA nanotechnology to solve problems in a practical way.
He is also a member of the Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering at Harvard University. He received his B.Sc. in Chemistry and his Ph.D. in DNA nanotechnology from McGill University. His achievements have been recognized with numerous awards, including the IUPAC Prize for Young Chemists and the Governor General's Gold Medal. He currently holds an NSERC Doctoral award, given to researchers who have demonstrated superior competence and outstanding productivity.Additionnal information is available here.
